Helping Ron Paul become President

Does Maine matter in the nominating process??

Maine is not as important as some of the other states in the eyes of the national campaigns, but it is important that our voices be heard. Maine could turn out to be relatively significant for two key reasons. Five States have been penalized by the national party for determining their national delegation too early. These states have lost half of their national delegation, which means that relatively speaking, Maine's delegates have become twice as valuable as they were previously. Secondly, the results of our town caucus meetings will be announced in the media probably the Monday before "Super Tuesday". A good showing in Maine could be a strong influence to voters in States voting that Tuesday to participate and support Ron Paul.

How to help the most

  1. Register as a Republican. You must do this at least 15 days before your town's caucus meeting.
  2. Donate what you can. Any amount helps, as the number of unique donors counts a great deal.
  3. Join a meetup group in your area. Participation is not required, but it's a great way to get important info by email.
  4. Determine where and when your town's caucus meeting will be held. Contact your county and/or town coordinator to get this info.
  5. Plan to attend your town's caucus meeting. It will be held on February 1, 2, or 3 in 2008.
  6. Find out who the other people are in your town that intend to support Ron Paul at the town caucus meeting.
  7. Solicit as many people in your town as possible to register as Republicans and to attend the caucus event.
  8. Express your preference for Ron Paul in the "Presidential Preference" poll that will be taken at the caucus meeting, and encourage others to do the same.
  9. Run for a State convention delegate position at the caucus meeting. (If your town's delegation total is not filled, anybody who runs will be selected and have the right to participate in the State convention.)
  10. Encourage other Ron Paul supporters you know to run for State delegate positions in their town.
